Red Elephant Inn Bed & Breakfast

The inn is within walking distance of the main village's activities, but it is removed enough to provide the peace and relaxation of the mountains. Just as close to the inn as the village are trail heads into the woods and hills, yet again just as close are hundreds of outlet and specialty shops as well as scores of restaurants and pubs.

There are mountains and rivers, ledges and waterfalls, ski areas and outfitters, covered bridges and antique stores.

The area abounds with some of the finest sightseeing, recreation, shopping and dining in all of New England. The inn itself is distinctively appointed with the art, antiques, and collectibles we've accumulated from our travels over the years.

The house is complemented by a porch, deck, and swimming pool as well as by extensively landscaped grounds and gardens.

Inside there is the cozy quiet of the library with its westerly view of the Moat Range, or the convivial entertainment of the den with its big-screen LCD TV and comfy leather furniture.

The guest rooms of the inn are unique, varying one from the other in layout, amenities, and views. All the rooms have their own baths, and all the rooms are air-conditioned. The larger rooms have king-sized beds, the rest have queen-sized.

Some of the rooms have gas-burning fireplaces or stoves, some have cable television with VCR/DVD players. Some of the baths have jetted Jacuzzi-style tubs. Each has its own charm and decor.

The name of each reflects the principal collection displayed in that room. The seasonal rates for the guest rooms vary by room and time of visit, ranging from $110 to $225.

All rates are per night, double occupancy, full breakfast included each morning of your stay.

The Red Elephant Inn is a wonderful and unique B&B briming with an abundance of interesting articles. My mother and I had a fantastic 4 day stay at this B&B and were made to feel so welcome. Tana and Nelson the owners were so helpful in planning our excursions, providing ideas, advising places to see and providing us with extra luggage for all the items we had purchased. There is a wonderful porch where we were able to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and watch humming birds just feet away from us. The breakfast was sumptuous with lovely home made baking. Every room has a theme with all decorated and maintained to a very high standard. The location of the inn is just a short distance off the main high street, far enough to be very peaceful but close enough to walk to all the lovely shops.
Tana and Nelson make wonderful hosts who made our holiday experience very special with their attention to detail and helpfulness, I would strongly recommend a stay at the Red Elephant Inn. ...
